AI and Job Automation: The Case of Baby Back Ribs
Okay, artificial intelligence found one other job to take away from actual humans, and that is baby back ribs, so they made a robot that can now slice barbecue ribs so that you don’t need an employee to do it.

Safety and employment concerns
Is this good or bad? I don’t know. Maybe it’s safer to have a robot do this rather than have somebody with sharp knives, but it is one less job for an actual human to perform.

Quality and consistency
And what about quality? Is it better quality? Maybe if the ribs are all the same size and it looks like these are pretty consistent, that’ll be good. I think if you’re eating ribs on a plate, you’re not going to really care who cut it, if it’s a robot or a person.

Economic Impact
But for the general economy, it might be better to have humans do things to be productive. What are your thoughts? Is this the wave of the future? And as a consumer, which one do you prefer? But also, as an employee or somebody who makes money, which one do you prefer?

Business Perspective
As a business owner, which is better? This is probably going to save you a lot of money because you don’t have to pay an employee $5 or $20 an hour rather than having a one-time fee for a robot, and maybe some electricity pros and cons. Tell me what you think.
