Future Of EV Battery Recycling
In the near future, it may be possible to recycle more completely a dead electric vehicle battery. Obviously, the EV battery on a uh an electric only vehicle, plug-in vehicle, is the most expensive component of that vehicle. And when it dies, the whole car sometimes is not even worth fixing. But there’s some new technology where dead EV batteries are being recycled to where there’s more value that can be obtained from them that can offset the cost of the new battery. Doesn’t mean it’s going to be Free, but if you have a dead electric vehicle battery, it doesn’t mean a death sentence for the whole.

Battery Replacement And Diligence
Might be able to salvage some of the value from the old battery to offset the cost of your new battery. Either way, you want to do some good due diligence and testing on any electric vehicle you’re looking to purchase, especially used, to make sure the battery is any good. But hope is not lost. If the battery does end up dying, you might be able to um have a lower cost of replacing that battery with a new one with this new dismantling and recovery recycling process. Nissan is leading the charge on it, but eventually it will Filter to other manufacturers.
